Madeira Hotels
Madeira, the floating garden in the Atlantic Ocean, has an exquisite landscape and some fine hotels from which to explore it. With its steep valleys and lush forests adorned with flowers Madeira boasts a sub-tropical climate to be proud of. The landscapes provide amazing backdrops to various levada walks and hikes, allowing you the opportunity to absorb some of the most spectacular scenery you will ever encounter.
In recent years, there have been major changes occuring with the opening up of the island. The motorway (via rapida) was constructed which more than halves most journey times and re-development within the local villages has been welcomed. Funchal, the historical capital city with quaint cobbled mosaic streets is thriving. Invitations are extended for you to sample the culinary delights of traditional Madeiran cuisine and the famous Madeira Wine. The marina continues to be a favourite port of call for an abundance of cruise ships and yachts.
Madeira Hotels and old Quintas are dotted all over the island, some commanding the enviable ocean front positions whilst others sit proudly in the hillside.
It is quite remarkable that for such a small island, there is so much to see and do in
